Issue 7: Questions

Questions-Cover---Final-Draft
For the Questions issue we are turning our focus from the outside world and bringing it inward. Each day for 100 days we will step out into the world and meet with one person. We will ask each person we meet the same 12 questions. At the end of 100 days we hope to capture our collective voice within this interwoven web of dialog.

Interview #47: Gerardo Cloquell

What do you do for a living?

I’m a graphic designer.

What do you do to feel alive?

I just wake each morning.

A lesson you learned from your mother:

There’s a lot of things I learned from my mother…. “Never give up.”

A lesson you learned from your father:

That I couldn’t tell you.

What’s the most beautiful thing you saw today?

I don’t know. I guess everything.

What’s one thing you wouldn’t want anyone to take away from you?

My mom. My sight. My hands.

What’s a thought you would like to never have again?

Purposely making someone feel bad.

If you could become an inanimate object what would it be?

A mural that inspires people.

When do you feel most loved?

When I go home to my mom’s house and she cooks for me.

If your life were to end tomorrow what would be left undone?

Everything

What global issue would you take on if you didn’t have to worry about how?

The world is pretty messed up, but I guess it would be poverty.

What’s the scariest thing that ever happened to you?

One time I thought I was having a heart attack.  I was rushed to the hospital. I ended being okay though.
