Issue 7: Questions

Questions-Cover---Final-Draft
For the Questions issue we are turning our focus from the outside world and bringing it inward. Each day for 100 days we will step out into the world and meet with one person. We will ask each person we meet the same 12 questions. At the end of 100 days we hope to capture our collective voice within this interwoven web of dialog.

Life happens to us as a series of instants. In each instant we are all experiencing every form that life can take – we are being born, we are getting hurt, we are falling in love, we are waiting in line, we are saying good-bye.

We are all here now sharing the time that space has created for us to breathe, to be, to live. Within that fabric our journeys are being woven together, but the patterns we create are often unseen and the overlaps often remain unknown. The unseen only becomes seen when we share the instants unfolding as our lives and allow ourselves to be witnessed.

As part of our 100 Days of asking questions we have launched a project called 100 Days. On that project page we will witness you. We will illuminate the patterns and show you where our lives overlap.

For 100 days we will cross over Dec. 21, 2012 into what many are calling both the end and the beginning of life as we know it. We don’t have an opinion on the meaning of that date either way. Our mission is to focus on this instant and bring us together through this moment – right now.

How it will work:

Each day for 100 days we will witness one facet of life. We will present all the images posted on Instagram on that day – and only on that day – that carry the “hashtag” of the word we have chosen for the day.

The countdown will start on September 24, 2012 and end January 1, 2013.

We will begin with the sunrise because at any given moment somewhere on this planet the sun is rising. No matter how dark it may be in one corner of the world on another the golden light of dawn is always breaking. This truth is the essence of hope and the thread that connects us as a global family.
