Day 22: Herb Kelly
What do you do for a living?
I’m a teacher.
What do you do to feel alive?
One of the things is read the Bible and the other is to tell people about Jesus.
A lesson you learned from your mother:
Treat everyone with respect as if they were Jesus.
A lesson you learned from your father:
Stand up for yourself. Don’t be a doormat.
What’s the most beautiful thing you saw today?
You
What’s one thing you wouldn’t want anyone to take away from you?
I kind of see it already happening, but the freedoms we have in this country
What’s a thought you would like to never have again?
That’s a weird question. I don’t really think like that. I think it would have to be the thought that a hurricane would come and wipe out this area. Someone at my prayer meeting said that South Florida is so decadent god will send a hurricane to wipe it out.
If you could become an inanimate object what would it be?
The Bible
When do you feel most loved?
When I’m praying with the lord – communing with the lord
If your life were to end tomorrow what would be left undone?
There were some people that I needed to share Christ with. I didn’t get married. I’ve been all over the world, but I haven’t been to Australia – that and Paris were on my “bucket list”, but Oh, well I know where I’m going if I die tomorrow.
What global issue would you take on if you didn’t have to worry about how?
My first thought would be putting God back into education and clean water for everyone, but getting people to know who God is globally is sort of a life pursuit for me.
What’s the scariest thing that ever happened to you?
There are several, but I would say cancer. I had cancer three times. First I had thyroid cancer. Then colon cancer. Then I had cancer in the lymph nodes, but the third spell I was healed by my prayer circle. People say there isn’t a God, and I strongly beg to differ. I even got my car stolen at a prayer meeting and we prayed it back that night.
